The Structures Group will typically work for a general contractor on a project like this. In this scenario, the owner needed to get it repaired ASAP to get the machines in the room where the damage was done back up and running. To make the clients life easier we decided to work for them as the general contractor and hire the subs under our contract. Work included: Demolition and removal of existing roofing material at the damaged area, demo and removal of the broken Glulam beam and associated damaged roof structure. Removal and replacement of all insulation and acoustical ceiling grid in the affected room. Furnish and install new Glulam beam and associated roof structure, furnish and install new roofing material.
